Hospitality defined by exploration

Some places only reveal themselves to those who seek them out. Geographic is a hospitality company rooted in the north west coast of Norway – a small collection of hotels built around the hidden folds of the map, the secret, the overlooked, the quietly extraordinary. This is hospitality defined by exploration.

The properties

Three properties, chosen for character and shaped into what they are today. Each one rooted in a different landscape, a different pace, a different version of this region.

The historic Hotel Union Øye, a yellow building with red trim and ivy, featuring ornate balconies, a staircase, and a garden path with a bench.

Union Øye

A fairytale in a valley where the mountains meet the fjord.

A traditional wooden house with a golden grass roof and red doors, surrounded by pine trees.

Storfjord

A handbuilt lodge among the pines, looking out over still fjord water.

Silhouetted coastal landscape with buildings, trees, and shimmering water under a hazy, warm-toned sky.

Staurneset

A cabin on the edge of an island fully open to the weather and the wide Atlantic horizon.

About us

Family owned, rooted in place

Geographic is family owned and built to last. Every location is chosen for the same reason – to take travellers beyond the expected, into the hidden folds within every map.

The buildings carry the story. Each one has something only it can offer: a history, a tradition, a texture. The feel of a place is as much the point as anything in it.
