Storfjord

Storfjord was built by hand, from local timber, on a mountainside above one of Norway's longest fjords. The grass roof and natural gardens blur the line between building and hillside – and the feeling carries inside, where rooms smell of pine and woodsmoke.

There are 30 rooms, a sauna looking out over the water, and a kitchen guided by the seasons and the farms nearby. Guests eat in the dining hall, the boathouse, or the forest lavvo.
